TIAC in action: from theory to practice

In 2024, the Tashkent International Arbitration Centre (TIAC) at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan demonstrated a significant increase in the number of cases administered by TIAC with the majority cases with a Russian element.
During the discussion, the speakers will share insights into the advantages of the TIAC dispute resolution infrastructure.
According to statistical data for 2024, cases involving a Russian element account for 43% of the total number of disputes administered by the Tashkent International Arbitration Centre (TIAC). Moreover, alongside the growing number of the Requests for Arbitration submitted by Russian users, there has also been an increase in the appointment of arbitrators from the Russian Federation to cases administered by TIAC. In 2024, such appointments represented 34% of the total number of arbitrator appointments.
Since its establishment, TIAC has been regularly featured in leading legal publications and analytical reviews. A nominee for the “Best Innovation of 2024” award by the London-based Global Arbitration Review, TIAC prioritises remote, digital and innovation-driven dispute resolution mechanisms and is dedicated to resolving domestic and cross-border commercial disputes.
During the upcoming discussion, speakers will share their observations and practical experience working with TIAC.
