RIAC 2025 stood out for its truly international calibre — bringing together speakers, delegates, and practitioners from across jurisdictions in a seamless, world-class format. The speaker lineup reflected the highest level of expertise, offering rich insights across diverse areas of international arbitration. The organisers curated an exceptional range of professional and cultural events that fostered both intellectual engagement and meaningful connections. This was not just a conference, but a dynamic, global forum for ideas, exchange, and collaboration. Congratulations to the organising team for delivering a first-class event on all fronts. I look forward to returning to RIAC 2026!

RIAC 2025 was masterfully organized, with great attention to detail on the appropriate venue, event format, speakers and substance of each event.

All in all, the event was a tremendous success, well worth travelling to be part of, and will soon become a diary date for the global arbitration community.

My congratulations to the organisers of Russian Arbitration Day and the Russian International Arbitration Congress. As an Ambassador for the Congress, I had expected a grand gathering in the megapolis that is Moscow. But the events exceeded all my expectations. The arrangements, the grand venues, the enthusiasm, and the friendly hosts made it a unique series of events, highlighted by an unforgettable Moscow River cruise. I had the pleasure of meeting arbitration colleagues from around the world. I am proud that there was strong Asian and particularly Indian participation in the event, given the historically friendly ties between India and Russia.

The inaugural Russian International Arbitration Congress, held in May 2025 in Moscow, has successfully marked Moscow on the global map of the arbitration events. The Congress brought together an impressive lineup of international speakers and guests, fostering valuable cross-border dialogue. Additionally, the participants were able to enjoy the unofficial program and to experience the charm of Moscow in spring.

The Congress was exceptionally well planned and flawlessly organized, reflecting the immense effort and dedication of the entire team behind it. I’ve personally witnessed the hard work the organizers put into bringing together some of the finest legal minds from across the globe, creating a truly enriching and insightful platform for meaningful dialogue. It was a privilege to be part of such a well-executed event, and I’m already looking forward to the next edition with great anticipation.

The inaugural Russian International Arbitration Congress did everything (and much more) that a congress must do to succeed: sparked thought-provoking discussions, offered new perspectives, helped to build new connections or refresh existing friendships, and, finally, allowed the participants to frankly exchange views on the most topical problems in a friendly and supportive setting.

Even though this RIAC was but the first one, it is clear that it has gently but confidently won its special place in the calendars of international disputes practitioners.

The Russian International Arbitration Congress (RIAC) 2025 held for the first time this May in Moscow impressed with its coverage. Just some figures to illustrate the scale - 6 days, more than 40 satellites, 1500 participants from around the world. Connecting the worldwide community of arbitration practitioners, securing an incredible concentration of eminent speakers and providing inspiring and absolutely amazing environment it was definitely a success! I have been honored to be an ambassador of this milestone event and there is no doubt we have witnessed the born of another star on the arbitration landscape. Huge thanks to the organizers and participants and looking forward to the next year!

I truly liked to be part of the Congress. Against all odds, the event gathered an impressive crowd, top speakers and leading institutions from all around the international arbitration world. The program was quite packed but extremely well organized, leaving enough space for reconnecting with old friends, making new ones and enjoying various social activities. The inaugural Russian International Arbitration Congress was a success by any measure. Practitioners and academics of high calibre at thoughtfully curated sessions addressed issues of significance in commercial and investment treaty arbitration. The content they disseminated can be characterised by cerebrality. Delegates would have returned home wiser. And not just that. There were enough networking opportunities for making new connections. It wasn't all work though. The organisers ensured that guests from near and afar enjoyed the beautiful art galleries in Moscow, appreciate the extravagant architecture that adorns the city, and enjoy an alternative view of Moscow whilst cocooned in the hospitality and warmth of a cruise down Moskva River. Bring on RIAC 2026!

The Russian International Arbitration Congress was a showcase of excellence and international cooperation, bringing together participants from around the world. In addition to the high-quality content provided by leading Russian and international experts, the event served as a great platform for building lasting connections. This success was made possible not only by the professional organization but also by the warm hospitality extended by the hosts in Moscow.

In 2020, "Russian Arbitration Day" was held online due to pandemic-related restrictions. This year, I was fortunate enough to be able to participate in the traditional in-person conference, and I am glad I was able to attend—especially since I was competing with many distinguished professionals presenting original research topics.

In preparation for the conference, I worked intensely on a publication and consulted with a scientific editor, Anna G. Arkhipova, who provided invaluable assistance. I am deeply grateful to her for her comments and suggestions, and for her efforts to ensure that the final text qualified as a scholarly article.
