The development of technology and the associated procedural tools available to parties inevitably bring with them the risk of abuse, aimed at complicating the proceedings for the opposing side and preventing arbitrators from discerning the core issues amidst an overwhelming stream of excessive questions and motions.

It is therefore unsurprising that arbitration increasingly demands active, and at times even stringent, procedural oversight - ranging from strict control over deadlines, submission rounds, and the volume of materials to adapting evidentiary procedures to suit the specifics of each dispute.
