Arbitration is undergoing a period of significant transformation. Lawmakers and arbitral institutions are increasingly revisiting existing rules and procedures in an effort to make dispute resolution more efficient. At the same time, a question arises: are these changes genuinely responding to the existing needs of arbitration users, or are they largely driven by competition among jurisdictions and arbitral institutions?

The event will explore some of the most notable recent developments in international arbitration, including the introduction of highly expedited procedures, the expansion of emergency arbitrator powers, and the growing role of artificial intelligence in dispute resolution. Particular attention will be paid to the benefits of these developments, as well as the practical challenges they create.
